St Mary’s DSG, Pretoria is an independent Anglican girls’ school steeped in a 145-year tradition of academic excellence and girls’ character.
We serve a diverse community of families from around the country and the world, educating and empowering girls from Grade 0 to Grade 12, as both daygirls and boarders. Our educational philosophy centres around the holistic education of the girl child, ensuring that she has opportunities to excel in academics, sport, and cultural pursuits all while developing her spiritually, socially, and emotionally, to contribute positively to our world. Each girl at St Mary’s DSG has a full complement of passionate, dedicated and qualified staff members who walk alongside her on her journey, and who accept her for her unique talents and attributes, encouraging her to explore and reach her full potential.
St Mary’s DSG, an independent, all-girls Anglican School, aims to create a pathway empowering confident young women of integrity and character to explore their potential and who positively contribute to our nation and the world.
Small class sizes allow us to focus on the unique needs of each girl, tailoring our approach to suit their strengths and interests. We understand that education extends beyond textbooks, and that's why we offer an exciting and relevant 21st-century curriculum. Communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration are at the heart of our teaching approach, preparing our girls to thrive in an ever-changing world. Our school has a long and outstanding record of academic achievement in the IEB Matriculation Examinations and enjoys a proud reputation for academic excellence.
At the St Mary’s DSG Boarding house, we place our boarders at the centre of all our endeavours. We make Boarding a special experience, designed to nurture each learner’s talents and abilities. We have world class facilities and capable staff that turn our Boarding house into a safe, peaceful and nurturing environment.
